How to visit Grant Shapps at his Surgery

Grant Shapps holds regular surgeries

Grant holds regular surgeries and moves them throughout the constituency so residents don't have to travel so far to see him.

WHEN ARE SURGERIES HELD?

Grant holds very regular surgeries and alternates the location between Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City to make it easier for constituents to attend. Here are the upcoming surgery dates:

WHAT HAPPENS AT SURGERY?

The surgery is your chance to meet face to face with Grant.  Not all MPs hold surgeries, but Grant Shapps considers them to be a vital part of his work for the community in Welwyn Hatfield.

Future surgery dates:

Friday 3rd September 2010, 10am - 11.30am : Woodhall Community Centre, WGC

Friday 17th September 2010, 10am - 11.30am : Maynard House, Hatfield

Friday 1st October 2010, 10am - 11.30am : Woodhall Community, WGC

Friday 29th October, 10.30am - 12pm : Maynard House, Hatfield

Friday 12th November, 9.30am - 11am : Woodhall Community Centre, WGC

Friday 26th November, 2pm - 3.30pm : Maynard House, Hatfield

WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM CAN YOU BRING TO A SURGERY?

Once at a surgery you are free to raise any subject on your mind.  People come to the MP's surgery for all manner of reasons ranging from simply wanting to put a point across, to a serious problem requiring the input of the Member of Parliament sometimes because all other agencies have failed to get the problem resolved. Grant is always accompanied by a case worker and a local Councillor to assist with problems which relate to the local authorities.

HOW TO BOOK A SLOT AT A SURGERY

If you'd like to come to a surgery and meet Grant Shapps in person, then please call Sandra Benjamin on 01707 262632 or email sandra@welhatconservatives.com and state that you'd like to be at the MP's next surgery. My constituency office will let you know what time to come along and since surgeries operate on a first come, first served basis, you might expect to wait a time before being seen. Bringing a book along to read is recommended!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN FOLLOWING THE SURGERY?

Grant will discuss your problem with you and will let you know at the end of the surgery what course of action (if any is required) he will take. You will then receive a follow-up letter afterwards taking your case forward.
