Welwyn Hatfield Conservatives, lead by Parliamentary Spokesman, Grant Shapps and Handside Councillor, Lance Stanbury, are campaigning to improve the poor state of pavements in around the Handside area of Welwyn Garden City.

Conservatives are presenting a petition to a joint District/County meeting on 5th November 2003, asking for the local pavements to be moved up the County's agenda.  They are also in the process of reporting specific paving problems and have already had 25 problem pavements repaired.
